Gerard Robson

Gerard – also known as Fred - first took up the guitar in 1966. His influences include Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd and thousands of others!

Gerard’s day job is as 2/ic to the Director of Civil Aviation. It’s a funny old world but Gerard actually hates flying, particularly in big jets, because it’s so boring! He spent four years as a Legislative Councillor in the early 90s during which time he represented the Islands in the USA and in the UK . Gerard uses Fender and Yamaha guitars, and Marshall amplification. He is a regular contributor to the Stanley Folk Club and will play nearly anything!
